IPL 2013: One of the most Awaited Event Next Year
The largest Indian sporting festival, the Pepsi IPL i.e. the Pepsi Indian Premiere league, is going to hit the ground once again in 2013, just like the previous years. There will be ten teams participating and it has been speculated that there will be two more. The whole concept is quite interesting; players from different origins are brought by various franchises in order to make teams representing different teams and people.
On top of being an excellent platform for young players to display skills, it is also a huge entertainment. Also, many a promising novice cricketers have made their mark through Pepsi IPL. This much anticipated tournament is scheduled to start from the 3rd of April, 2013 till the 26th of May, 2013. Therefore, two months of ceaseless cricketing excitement is fully expected for cricket fanatics not only in India but abroad as well.
So as to keep viewers hooked to their TV screens, the Indian Premier League or the Cricket Carnival of the subcontinent is going to incorporate lots of fresh and exciting surprises. Foremost among them is that it has partnered with Pepsi, a contract highly advantageous as well as money-spinning. There is however some bit of ado about its schedule, with critics complaining that there is a lot of cricket being engaged in that can really tire the participants in the long run.
The involvement of famous Bollywood superstars, ranging from the top ones to the beginners, all of them have added a lot of colour and splendor to the whole event. Furthermore, people consider the IPL time table to be much more touted than other tournament time table because of the sole fact that India is such a cricket crazy India country that it always promises a fantastic turn out at the stadiums, much more than all other countries of the world.
Therefore keeping everything in mind, the Pepsi Indian Premier League has been scheduled and carefully designed to take place in the months of April-May as it guarantees peak crowd turnout. As mentioned earlier, 10 teams were supposed to take part after Deccan Chargers got eliminated by the BCCI but later it was substituted by a brand new team, although again with Hyderabad’s identity. The grand opening ceremony of Pepsi IPL 2013 will take place in the spectacular Eden Gardens of Kolkata. One of the most extravagant as well as luxurious, they have never ceased to amaze people. The most popular and all notable celebrities from different fields are invited to have a go and perform live in the ceremony. For instance last year the great event was hosted by none other than Mr. Amitabh Bachhan himself. Hence, it is only obvious that people expect an even grander and more impressive ceremony next year. It’s more about the glitter and glory involved than the matches indeed.
